UNSPACE JOINS THE AMALGAMATION NETWORK
UNSPACE is proud to announce it has joined The Amalgamation Network! With our shared commitment to small businesses and the spirit of entrepreneurship, we are sure this relationship will result in exciting new projects and ultimately bring about a positive impact on social equity in the engineering community.
What is The Amalgamation?

“The Amalgamation is an ecosystem of underutilized small businesses reimagining government contracting by fostering equitable partnerships. We use an innovative, collaborative approach that elevates solopreneurs, micros, and small businesses, decreases reliance on large primes, and removes many of the barriers they face when seeking government contracts.”
Founded by Kristin Williams, The Amalgamation has the lofty goal of changing the way government contracting is managed—but it’s not just about bids and contracts; members of The Amalgamation are encouraged to act as a close-knit community, helping one another refine their business skill-sets and celebrate business successes together.
Using the the Slack messaging platform and an expansive resource library, The Amalgamation community engages in discussion on curated bid listings, general business strategy, and DBE registration assistance.

What is UNSPACE?
If this is your first time at UNSPACE.Com, allow us to say ‘hello’. Founded by Phillip Lentz and Ben Peters in 2019, the inaugural mission at UNSPACE was to publish a paper on Lentz’ theory of modified gravity. This simple project soon expanded; we grew our team to include more engineers and business experts, established a laboratory at the East End Maker Hub in Houston, TX, and along the way discovered a new mission: to help innovators with the rigorous and often over-complicated product development lifecycle.
Using our unique PREPS Methodology, our team assists inventors, innovators, researchers and entrepreneurs reach a state of manufacturing readiness.

What can be expected from an UNSPACE partnership with The Amalgamation?
Joining alongside companies like Papercloud Creative and Viably, UNSPACE hopes to offer its council and laboratory services to Amalgamation members. While our primary mission is to partner with other members to bid on government contracts, we’re also excited at the potential to help entrepreneurs develop their products and establish themselves as industry leaders. Other potential activities include:
Collaboration on STEM and educational development programs
Patent and intellectual property mentorship
Civic engagement and outreach services
Direct third party engagement with The Amalgamation Network on UNSPACE internal projects
